10 Modern WWE Face Turns That Were Poorly Handled

1. Lana (2015)

The turn was inevitable, as the collective whistling and cheering for the leggy, comely Lana was hard to ignore. She possessed the looks to be a sex symbol, the new Stacy Keibler, and splitting her from Rusev looked to be the best way to rocket her to the top. Then they found the best way to diminish interest in her, sticking her with Dolph Ziggler in an utterly-unbelievable relationship. Her split from Rusev made her look strong, an empowered woman without fear. Then they made her into a lovesick teenage girl, dressing like a Five Seconds of Summer groupie as she clung to Dolph. Fans still love Lana, even as she's turned back heel, because sex appeal is hard to kill. It does go to show, however, that the company's ideas for face turns can be truly hideous. The worst thing you can have WWE tell you in 2016 is, "We're going to make you a star."
