7. Keith ‘Bearcat’ Lee
Current AEW man Keith Lee looked borderline embarrassed when he squashed Akira Tozawa in just 35 seconds on the 27 September 2021 Raw. He'd been re-dubbed 'Bearcat' by creative, and...nobody liked it. Few were even willing to give the gig a chance either, probably 'cause everyone could see it was never going to pan out.
Follow up squashes didn't do anything to improve things. Then, having clearly thrown the towel in themselves, WWE cut Lee from the roster in November less than two months into their own repackage job. Hopes were high that Keith would rebound in AEW quickly.
He hasn't.
Granted, the man has battled through health problems aplenty, but he still seems lost creatively. The star power Lee once carried in NXT has disappeared, and he might never get it back. Tony Khan doesn't seem to have a clue about how to book Keith as a top star; otherwise, he'd have surely done it by now.
