10 MORE Strange Times Wrestlers Appeared In Commercials

4. John Cena Sells Garbage Bags

You'd be forgiven for misreading that - John Cena's approach to selling was poor in the extreme, in that he just popped up and exploded into his usual offence without conveying any sense that he was fighting through or in any way affected by the pain - but it actually reads 'John Cena Sells Garbage Bags'.

Easy mistake to make.

Remember the Sting entry, in which Sprite subverted the old "This product turns you into a superhero!" b*llocks?

Leave it to John Cena to plagiarise terrible material from yesteryear.

A generic middle-aged man is doing his shopping, and drops the titular product. When he picks it back up, he's magically transformed into John Cena! He then does an intentionally awful impression, and tells his wife that it's actually him. Then, another man picks up the fake competitor, Wimpy, much to his wife's dismay - because in a gag that might have been cute, Wimpy turns her man into a famous comedy actor. The problem is that it doesn't quite work.

There isn't enough of a contrast between a man known for his terrible and cringe-worthy comedic material and Rob Schneider.
