3. Chris Jericho Sells Fast Food

Chris Jericho
AEW

Chris Jericho is very good at playing faux-sincere.

Throughout his mostly incredible AEW tenure, Jericho has mastered the art of being a disingenuous pr*ck. Most recently, he sat at the Rampage commentary desk and admonished various heels for attempting to cheat - this, after winning the "Ocho" by blasting Claudio Castagnoli in the balls. It's an amusing running gag premised on an effective core character trait. Everybody hates the people who believe the rules do not apply to them; it's a problem that plagues much of the western world, and Jericho is smart enough to tap into it.

He used his quintessential cadence to flog Taco Bell at the height of his Y2J run, but he can't elevate the material. The ad is a spoof on charity appeals to end hunger and positions Jericho as a spokesperson for the problem of "the munchies".

It is heavily dated and insensitive fare, and while Jericho's line readings are good - "You can join our tag team," he implores with a fake veneer of heartfelt empathy - mocking something like the total systemic injustice of worldwide wealth distribution is a bit much.
