10 More Ways WWE Could Mine Nostalgia During The Empty Arena Era

6. Monday Nitro

Again teased during the awesome Firefly Fun House at WrestleMania 36, some famous WCW iconography was reincarnated for John Cena's reimagining as Hollywood Hulk Hogan in a take on 'The Champ's heel turn that never was.

Emerging from the Nitro stage in nWo colours, Cena looked the part and kept the thumbnail fanciers amongst us in content for a little bit longer. But a thirst for yet more World Championship Wrestling went largely unquenched.

WWE are gifted the benefit of time and taping to get these things right. Getting Raws and SmackDowns in the can in front of no paying punters makes this stuff easier than ever - get all the normal stuff recorded then dress the place up like it's straight out of Hotlanta in 1997, and fly Goldberg in to spear some mug through those chrome WCW letters at the top of the stage.

Raw doesn't need to go all in - not that Vince McMahon would ever allow it - but even just mixing up the look of the venue for the night along with some Zoom'ed in talking heads would make the flagship a little more palatable for a week.
