Recently-turned babyface Becky Lynch has been written out of storylines for now due to that nasty separated shoulder she suffered at SummerSlam (don't look it up during lunch!). Upon her return, 'Big Time Becks' will likely revisit some of the ballsy characteristics that captured fan imaginations during her run as 'The Man'.

Going backwards might not be the best idea.

Becky may look towards someone like Chris Jericho for inspiration - the AEW star has earned praise for continually driving forwards into something fresh. Yes, he still has elements of the old 'Y2J' character here or there, but he's not a full-time walking nostalgia act in 2022.

Lynch's next big challenge is finding a way to exist as a genuinely likeable face without dusting off the old leather jacket, furrowing her eyebrows and taking a shoot punch in the nose from someone during an in-ring scrap. Mixing 'The Man' with 'Big Time' could be a risk.
