...botch!"

All Out 2020 was a cursed show - that also invited several disasters through its negligence - that was almost punished for daring to present itself during a pandemic. Double Or Nothing's irreverent levity was one thing; the attempt to return to a new normal a few months later was a drab, sloppy and dangerous experience that in grim contrast was the opposite of an escape.

Held outdoors in Florida at its most suffocatingly humid, beyond a regulation great Young Bucks match and a superbly crafted main event sadly overshadowed by the unsettling vibe, even the very good matches felt like a struggle. The paid ringside plants were too hot and bothered to even work something resembling an atmosphere.

The sheer closeness of the heat contrived to render poor Matt Sydal's debut a disaster. The ropes were drenched in the sweat of struggling bodies, which was suboptimal. The accumulated perspiration of every man taken to the corner in the Casino Battle Royale caused Sydal to slip when leaping to execute his famous Shooting Star Press on Will Hobbs. Luckily, his shoulder caught the rope, and he landed on his tailbone, not his neck.

Hobbs, having not set foot in the PC, didn't sell it.
