10 Most Bad-Ass Bodyguards In Wrestling History

6. APA

Whereas most of the bodyguards on this list served as muscle for one or two different people, the APA provided protection for whoever would pay them. Two beer-drinking badasses, everything they did was in the name of obtaining beer money. They would second Chris Jericho in a match with Triple H, preventing Shane McMahon and the rest of the McMahon-Helmsley Era from interfering. They would pummel the Mean Street Posse in the name of helping Crash Holly retain his hardcore title. It was not out of the ordinary to see the duo take advantage of heels in poker games, then destroy them inside the squared circle when the time came. For two years, there were no two more feared and respected brutes on the roster than the APA and their protection services were a hot commodity. Some of the top babyfaces in the company benefited from having the duo watch their back and as a result, won championships and vanquished evil all at the same time. The team lasted until 2002, when the supplemental draft split them up and left their fellow Superstars scurrying elsewhere for backup.
