Could all of WWE's present-day problems be solved if only they'd switch their lurid, brand-centric top title for unquestionably the most popular belt of old? Perhaps not - but it'd be some start.

First introduced in 1988, the 'winged eagle' - so called for the massive bird of prey front and centre at the apparent suggestion of Chief Jay Strongbow - looked just as good with its various alternative straps as it did in standard black, and likewise, it looks just as good on modern stars as it does those of yesteryear.

Look at that gallery, and try telling us this one simple cosmetic change wouldn't improve wrestling by about 9000%. No, it's not just nostalgia talking. Pure gold.
