10 Most Beautiful Belts In Wrestling History

6. WWF Million Dollar Championship

AEW Championship
WWE

Ted DiBiase's custom championship might not quite have cost a million dollars to manufacture, but it was still bloody expensive.

In 1989, WWE commissioned prestige Greenwich, CT jewelers Betteridge to design a themed title for their avaricious heel, and they absolutely did not skimp on the brief, producing a glittering, gold plated girdle encrusted with cubic zirconias and featuring three diamond studs on the reverse. The belt just screamed 'money' - quite literally - and cost the company a cool $40,000.

The beautiful belt was famously the centre of one of WWE's early-'90s feelgood stories, as DiBiase's put-upon lackey Virgil usurped his horrible boss for the title. When The Million Dollar man won the tag titles alongside IRS in 1992, the extremely expensive accessory was rather wastefully retired, until a certain Steve Austin revived it three years later.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
