10 Most Bizarre Hardcore Matches In Wrestling History

4. Chamber Of Horrors

At WCW Halloween Havoc ‘91, Sting, the Steiner Brothers and El Gigante defeated Abdullah the Butcher, Vader, Cactus Jack and the Diamond Studd in a ‘Chamber of Horrors’ match.

It was drastically terrible, but not in a so-bad-it’s-good sort of way. It just went on and on and on forever.

The actual cage wasn’t even good, which wasn’t a good omen - it looked like a sturdy domed jail cell that nobody was willing to throw themselves into - and that’s before you consider the dire, goofy props and non-weapons. Caskets, shrunken heads: the bollocks littering the ring was about as scary as Kane.

To win, a wrestler from one team had to place an opposing wrestler into the ‘Chair of Torture’, pull the ‘Fatal Lever’, and “electrocute” them. Cactus Jack, under the mistaken impression that Rick Steiner was in the chair, pulled the lever. Abdullah was in it, and he sold the electrocution, despite a production delay, by vibrating.

Still a better cage match than Triple H Vs. Shawn Michaels at Badd Blood 2004.
