10 Most Boring Wrestlers Of 2016
3. Baron Corbin
NXT TakeOver: Dallas was one of the best shows of the year, easily outdoing WrestleMania 32 two days later. From top to bottom, the card was a winner, without a single clunker - except for the singles match between Austin Aries and Baron Corbin. Needless to say, Aries wasn't the problem with that one, and Corbin stuck out on the show like a sore thumb. So of course, two days later, he won WrestleMania's battle royal, marking an auspicious main-roster debut.
Since then, Corbin has yet to inspire. While his athletic credentials keep him from the same depths as men like Braun Strowman or The Great Khali, one could also argue that it prevents him from reaching the uniquely sublime "he's so bad, he's good" territory - you know, if that's what you want from your wrestling. Corbin is just unremarkable in every way, except for his height.
If the past year's been any indication, "The Lone Wolf" isn't exactly on his way to winning the WWE World Title - more likely, he'll keep taking up time on the midcard and feuding with other midcarders. Still, that's enough for him to drag down his opponents and programming on the whole.
