If you want to wow friends with a nifty little magic trick then try the following. Wait on a Curt Hawkins match to start, predict he will lose, leave the room for a few minutes, then return to rapturous applause and cries of 'how did you know that?'. The answer is simple: Hawkins loses every match he's involved in.

Sounds thrilling, doesn't it? There are jobbers like James Ellsworth, who manage to turn being a loser into something special, and then there are those booked like Hawkins. He, unlike the recently-released Ellsworth, only exists so he can eat up a few minutes of TV time. Beating him doesn't even do anything for the winner long term.

This isn't necessarily Curt's fault. He already proved he was entertaining as part of The Edgeheads with Zack Ryder years ago. In 2017, any appearance by Hawkins was met with apathy, both from the live crowd and those sitting at home.

We're sure someone likes the guy, but that person isn't on the writing team.
