10 Most Charitable Wrestlers
4. Daniel Bryan
The creator of the “Yes!” movement has said just that when helping others in need.
In 2012, Bryan granted the ultimate wish for a 6-year-old boy diagnosed with brain cancer by the name of Connor Michalek, the inspiration behind the WWE’s charity ‘Connor’s Cure’. Not only was Bryan Connor's favorite wrestler, but the two formed a special bond that would last up to his tragic death in 2014. Michalek was even ringside to watch Daniel Bryan win the World Championship at WrestleMania XXX, and was the first person Bryan embraced following his victory.
Daniel Bryan has also involved himself in various cancer “challenges” including becoming a literal dancing fool to support Pediatric Awareness Month. In 2016, Bryan cut his luscious locks and manly beard to support the ‘Wigs for Kids’ charity, which helps provide wigs for children who have lost their hair. Bryan has also put in considerable time and effort into the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Daniel Bryan has become the ultimate underdog story in the WWE and it’s clear he fights for underdogs in life.
