10 Most Controversial WWE Firings Ever
3. Zahra Schreiber
Many of the releases in this list can be filed under the 'unreasonable' heading, business decisions made with little sense and even less humanity. None of this applies in the case of Zahra Schreiber, a former WWE developmental talent best known for being the ex-girlfriend of Seth Rollins and prominently featuring the swastika in old social media posts.
No, not a typo there. Schreiber was release in 2015 after old Instagram posts resurfaced, posts that saw Schreiber seemingly showing off what can only really be described as Nazi Germany merchandise, no matter how the images were sold. It was the last in a string of controversial incidents surrounding Schreiber, coming months after nude photos of her and Rollins were leaked on social media.
There were also allegations of racist and offensive language used across a variety of social media platforms. The Nazi imagery was the last straw though, with Schreiber's claim that she didn't associate the swastika with Hitler falling on deaf ears, by which I mean entirely logical ears.
Many of WWE's more controversial firings leave the blame squarely at the feet of Vince McMahon and the company, but this was the total opposite.
