Quite possibly Eddie Guerrero's finest moment of lying, cheating, and stealing his way to a win came on the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' as 'Latino Heat' defended the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle.

Eddie had already pulled off something of a miracle one PPV earlier, countering Brock Lesnar's F5 into a DDT onto the gold before frog splashing his way into the history books. WrestleMania XX, however, saw Guerrero brilliantly outsmart a wrestling legend who famously claimed to be quite intelligent.

A failed attempt at winning the day via frog splash eventually opened the door for another crippling ankle lock from the Olympic gold medalist. And though the champ was able to somehow wriggle free, the damage appeared to be done as he unfastened his unmistakable golden boot.

Rather than an attempt to alleviate the pain, though, this was all actually part of a wonderful trap being set by the captivating Guerrero.

Smelling blood in the water, a relentless Angle was too blinded by potential glory to realise he'd fallen for another Eddie ruse.

As he suddenly stood there with a slipped off boot in hand, it was already too late.

One inescapable, rope-assisted small package later, Guerrero had intelligently cheated Angle out of a 'Mania title win.
