2. Sammy Guevara

Jim Ross had an old mantra he would impart to emerging talent looking to advance their career: maximise your minutes. If they weren't getting much screen time, they had to do something memorable to make it count and grab more of it.

Sammy Guevara is so fiendishly creative that he maximises his seconds.

He is so exceptional at getting himself over and building his profile that he gets over as a pro wrestling TV star when he's barely even on TV: when he's in picture in picture, he uses cue cards to advance his hopeless lothario character, which he of course believes to be a 'Sex God' for the heat. This is a heel so fantastic he called himself 'The Greatest' before anybody knew who he was. The cue cards proved such a memorable and effective device with which to advance stroylines that he and Darby Allin built one of the better attractions at an awesome Revolution show with minimal TV time.

He's like an a*shole Apprentice contestant, but on purpose; he works himself into positions of prominence over and over again, with his relentless self-promotion, and delivers the catharsis a brash prick character should with his demented approach to bumping.
