1. Dynamite Kid

A decisive character to say the least, Tom 'Dynamite Kid' Billington was about as wide as he was tall by the time he reached the financial peak of his career in the late-1980s. As one half of the ultra-muscled British Bulldogs alongside fellow brick sh*thouse Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite featured in several WrestleManias and earned fleeting fame and fortune built off the back of era-defining displays in Japan and Calgary's Stampede Wrestling territory.

His grittiness was considered cruel by some. A working class Wigan kid, Dynamite pulled few punches in the locker room in keeping with his snug style between the ropes. Almost driven by his shorter stature in comparison to the giants he often encountered in the industry, Billington made himself a known bully backstage to maintain a relationship of intimidation with many of his peers.

It took a rib too far with the Rougeau Brothers to literally knock him out of the organisation for good in 1988. Tiring of his relentless abuse, the pair staged a revenge attack that involved flooring Billington with a roll of quarters. The Bulldogs promised revenge, but were unable to catch up with the 'Fabulous' duo again before exiting the organisation.

An embittered and fragile man literally, figuratively and financially broken by the business and his own bad decisions, Billington remains loathed by many and simply pitied by the rest. Only in death will his legacy likely be lauded again.
