1. Team Austin - Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Rob Van Dam & The Dudley Boyz (2003) - 113 Titles
When Survivor Series began, many of the teams would be formed from a fairly rigid structure. There would be a main event captain, along with one or two mid to upper midcard performers. The team would be rounded out with a tag team. Keeping that in mind, is this the most 'Survivor Series' Survivor Series team of all time? The team was representing Steve Austin against Team Bischoff, and would actually end up on the losing side (Randy Orton was the sole survivor). Still, the accomplishments of this team are unmatchable in Survivor Series history. Shawn Michaels is Shawn Michaels, although interestingly enough he comes bottom of the titles list for the team. The Dudleyz bring more tag team gold than any other team in the history of the game. Rob Van Dam was a midcard title mainstay for the longest time, winning gold in ECW as well. It is Booker T that sways it however, with an astonishing 34 titles over his career. A large amount of these came in WCW, but they still count. The team's 113 titles put them eight ahead of second place, a healthy lead to say the least. In modern times titles tend to have changed hands less frequently than the hot-potato Attitude Era, and as such it seems unlikely that this number will ever be topped.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
