9. Batista, Rey Mysterio, Lashley, Randy Orton & JBL (2005) - 76 Titles
Also on 76 titles (but coming ahead of the Hardyz and Dudleyz by virtue of more singles titles) is the victorious main event team from the 2005 event. The brand split was still in play in the mid 2000s, and these five behemoths represented SmackDown against Shawn Michaels, Kane, Big Show, Carlito and Chris Masters of RAW. Of the 76 titles amassed by the five, the leader is once again a surprising name. JBL tops the list with 24 title reigns, just edging out Rey Mysterio's 22. JBL's numbers are boosted of course by a preposterous 17 Hardcore Championship reigns. Lashley is bottom of the pile with three championships, and as such he was the first man eliminated. Randy Orton would go on to be the sole survivor.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
