5. Edge & Christian & The Hardy Boyz (1999) - 85 Titles
Yes, these two great rival tag teams of the Attitude Era combined in 1999 to start the top five of this list. Combined they have a total of 85 championships, making them the most successful quarter in Survivor Series history. It isn't all tag team success either, as all four would go on to taste singles success. Edge is the leader of the pack obviously, amassing an impressive 33 titles overall. This puts him second on that particular list. Their opponents in 1999? The Holly Cousins (Hardcore and Crash) and Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty). The successful quarter would come out on the losing side of the match, with Hardcore Holly being the only survivor. Funnily enough they are also the first team on this list who failed to win their Survivor Series match.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
