Another theme with these shows: just because WWE repeatedly says something – a title or a trophy – is prestigious doesn’t mean it’s worth the scrap metal value of the physical prize.

But that hasn’t stopped the company from promoting its various gimmick prizes as big deals, and the latest iteration is just on the horizon. During Bad Blood earlier this month, Triple H announced that the men and women’s singles World champions on each brand would face each other at November’s Crown Jewel PLE. But unlike the Survivor Series matches of the 2010s, these wouldn’t be for “brand supremacy.”

The champions are fighting for the Crown Jewel Championship. What is the CJC, you ask? It’s only the gaudiest-looking title belt ever assembled, a bedazzled mess that has been toted around Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks and treated like they’re the actual Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom.

Before anyone gets amped about the idea of Cody Rhodes or Gunther carrying around two titles, these straps are expected to be exclusive to the Saudi shows only, making them another prize that ceases to exist at the kingdom’s border. It’s simply a prop to appease Saudi Arabia and their desire to make the PLEs more important.
