10 Most Embarrassing Falls From Grace In WWE

6. Lord Tensai

Cheer up, Tensai. It wasn't your fault.

Notable as the only example on this list to be embarassed by the audience instead of the booking department, Lord Tensai's brief tenure at WWE was doomed from the start.

Matt Bloom, who played Tensai, had previously enjoyed a run in WWE as a character called Albert during the Attitude Era. Wrestling fans have long memories and few had forgotten about Bloom's former gimmick when he returned as Lord Tensai. Chants of "Albert, Albert!" were impossible to ignore and, unable to be taken seriously as WWE's latest monster, Tensai soon found himself staring at the lights more often than not.

With the audience never letting him forget where he came from, watching Tensai try to be a monster heel under that level of derision was an uncomfortably cringy experience. He would eventually become a comedy act and was repackaged as the fun loving Sweet T, tag team partner to the Funkasaurus. (The years between the Summer of Punk and Daniel Bryan's ascent up the card were not the WWE's best).
