10 Most Epic Undertaker Returns Ever

8. SummerSlam 2009

Another SummerSlam return for €˜Taker, this time from 2009. After his incredible battle with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXV, the Deadman took a four-month long hiatus€”which quite frankly, he deserved after the performance he put in at the Showcase of the Immortals. That timeframe took us up to the Biggest Event of the Summer, when Undertaker chose to make his presence felt in the most simple, yet effective, of ways. Looking to insert himself into the World Heavyweight Championship picture, he returned during the aftermath of CM Punk€™s brilliant TLC win over the former champ Jeff Hardy. With Punk celebrating victory over the prone body of his opponent, the lights began to flicker. Something was awry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA9MQYw0cjU Moments later the bell tolled and darkness fell. When the lights came back up, Hardy€™s body had been replaced by that of the Undertaker. By the time Punk realised it was too late, and he found himself on the wrong end of an emphatic chokeslam. Once again it was a smart was of preserving €˜Taker€™s supernatural edge without insulting our intelligence.
