5. Dominik Mysterio

The unenviable position that Dominick Mysterio has had to contend with since beginning his wrestling career should be considered when analyzing his WWE tenure to this point. He has had to improve in front of a massive audience whilst trying to get out from under his dad’s shadow, which is not a small task when Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest luchadores of all time.

Dominik's recent heel turn has helped breathe life into the character that was sorely missing before, as the generic babyface act alongside his father had long grown stale. Rey was still carrying the in-ring portion of their tag team, which has arguably hindered his son in a way as he has been too protected for his own good.

Despite some early success against the likes of Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy, and The Usos, Dom has not really shown much improvement as a wrestler. Going out on his own whilst still being able to rely on his Judgment Day stablemates when necessary may be the push that he needs to finally blossom as a performer and realize the potential he showed earlier in his career.
