Randy Orton was just 10 years old when The Undertaker made his WWE debut at Survivor Series 1990. When Orton arrived in the WWE, The Undertaker was in Big Evil mode, but 'Taker reverted back to his Deadman persona by the time the two had a great feud in 2005.

The first televised meeting between the two came during the Big Evil days, when Undertaker defended the WWE Undisputed World Heavyweight Title on an episode of RAW in 2002. It was a very different Orton that threatened the legacy of The Phenom in 2005 however, Orton taking 'Taker to the limit at WrestleMania 21 before defeating the Deadman at SummerSlam 2005.

Orton and 'Taker were opponents on 15 televised occasions, with 'Taker getting the overall upper hand with nine wins to Orton's six - although two of Orton's wins were Royal Rumble matches. The feud between these two men in 2005 did wonders for the career of the 'Legend Killer', who was reeling somewhat after an underwhelming first world championship reign.
