10 Most Hated Wrestlers Of All Time

5. Enzo Amore

It all started so well for Enzo Amore.

He was the incorrigible irritant with piss funny trash talk, and what made the act - initially - was the tacit implication that he was just self-aware enough to not be thoroughly detestable. Carmella was hot as hell, but the association was platonic. We were never meant to accept Enzo as the lothario.

Big Cass was his muscle. We were never meant to accept him as a badass or even a competent pro wrestler, which is just as well, since he treated road agent instructions like Ron Burgundy reading a teleprompter howyoudoin'.

And then it went very badly wrong for him the very second WWE nonsensically broke up a winning act. Enzo buried Big Cass for getting injured, which was poor form, and then annoyed the purist wrestling fans by winning and metaphorically sh*tting on the Cruiserweight Title. A failure to disclose harrowing accusations cost him his job, which allowed him to launch a hip-hop career only slightly less listenable than a Stephanie McMahon promo. 'Phoenix' is the song most know - because it was so rotten nobody listened to anything else he did - but the man who hijacked Survivor Series 2018 also claimed on another track that he was "too mature" for Liv Morgan.

Great patter, mind.
