It's impossible to tell just how over the Dudleys would have got in the WWE were they not encouraged to continue smashing people through tables, an ultraviolent art they had pioneered in ECW. One thing's for certain - it did their popularity no harm. There are few sounds more satisfying in wrestling than the crunch of a demolished table, and the Dudleys were masters of building up to the moment with their crowd-involving routine. Every wrestling fans know that the correct response to a cry of "D-Von!" is always "...get the table!" Most Notable Victim: Mae Young. Bubba Ray Dudley had a disturbing penchant for introducing female roster members to a table at high velocity, but none more shocking than Mae. She took two powerbombs through the wood (one off the stage!) and reportedly encouraged these spots. Needless to say, she took them like a trooper.
