Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D has managed to become a legitimate star in the world of wrestling despite AEW’s poor booking of the women’s division thus far. Since turning heel on an early episode of Dynamite, Baker has clearly been the most important person in her division, whilst continuing to impress despite the restrictions that are put on women in the company.
For the longest time, the dentist seemed like the AEW Women's Champion in waiting, as the likes of Riho, Nyla Rose, and Hikaru Shida tried but eventually failed to overcome the woeful booking they were often faced with as champions. When she finally won the title off the back of her tremendous Light Out match against Thunder Rosa, Baker proceeded to have the best women's title reign to date.
Her star power has helped other performers get over by association with her, most notably Jamie Hayter who is ready to break out as a babyface at Britt's expense. AEW should continue striving for parity between their divisions, which Britt Baker will undoubtedly play a huge part in helping to realise.
