10 Most Infamous WarGames Wrestling Controversies
6. Blood And Guts
Speaking of the burgeoning rivalry between The Land of All Elite and The World of Sports Entertainment, it wasn't too long after that 2019 WarGames Britt Baker shot that Tony Khan went out of his way to deliver another shot of sorts at Vinnie Mac when it came time to unleash their own iteration of the legendary double-ringed cage spectacular.
Hot on the heels of the former WWE Chairman claiming his company wasn't "gonna do blood and guts and things of that nature" like his new potential competitor during an investor's call in 2019, TK announced that not only was his promotion about to let loose their own brand of WarGames-inspired savagery in the early stages of 2020 (later postponed to May 2021 due to the pandemic) - one that was much more faithful to the OG structure that WWE owns the name rights to - but that it would also be going by the name of, you guessed it, Blood and Guts.
And if that wasn't enough of a WarGames dig at the competition, the fact one-time NXT General Manager and "WARGAMES!" screamer William Regal was on hand to utter the All Elite version of this legendary battle cry earlier this year again proves that this particular corner of the current wrestling war is far from over.
