10 Most Infamous Wrestling Shoot Interviews

1. The Dark Side Of The Shoot

Shoot interviews are meant to be fun, candid, vicious. In the best shoots, a wrestling personality buries one of their old brothers with a hilarious put-down or tells some embarrassing story about them.

They…weren’t all like that.

Marty Jannetty once told the story, to Boston Wrestling MWF and other outlets, of the Ultimate Warrior attempting to remove a young, drugged woman’s nipples with his bare hands. He frames this as side-splitting rib (it, if true, is actually sexual assault).

Similarly - and it should be noted that Shawn Michaels has categorically denied the accusation, and the accuser himself later elaborated that it was “urban legend” - Brutus Beefcake, in an appearance with Kayfabe Commentaries, said that the Rockers used to drug women and then, when they had passed out, “have a good time with ‘em”. Disturbingly, Beefcake pissed himself laughing throughout the anecdote.

Jannetty - him again - alleged to both RF Video and the Hannibal TV that the Iron Sheik, upset that he had wasted his drugs on a woman who wanted to spend time with Jannetty, and not him, gave her a short-arm clothesline. She ended up on a stretcher, and Jannetty, laughing as he told the tale, said Sheik complained that she didn’t know how to work.

Reprehensible.
