6. The Triple H Vs. Booker T Programme

Bruce Prichard defended the Triple H Vs. Booker T programme on his Something To Wrestle podcast, and to his credit, co-host Conrad Thompson was having none of it.

Triple H said to Booker T that "People like you don't get to be World champion. You're here to make people laugh with your nappy hair and your "suckas"."

Prichard insisted that the context of the storyline was designed for Triple H to bury WCW and cast doubt over the result: did a former Dubya See Dubya guy really have what it takes to win the big one at WrestleMania XIX?

It's strange. Triple H didn't say anything like this when feuding with Goldberg. Also, Triple H didn't throw money at Goldberg or claim that he could be his limousine driver. Ask yourself why that is. The answer is obvious to everybody, with the exception of Prichard.

When Triple H also said "You're going to do what people like you always do: you're going to lose", nobody believed it because believing that would be absolutely insane. Booker T wasn't going to lose after that storyline, was he? That would be unconscionable.

Booker T lost. Here, WWE put smiles on the faces of the worst people in the world.

In their defence, they didn't specify which people they wanted to make happy when coming up with their corporate motto!
