Notes: Raw Magazine was arguably Vince Russo's finest ever contribution to the wrestling industry. From it's maiden edition in 1996 right through to his departure as WWE's head writer and the publication's Editor-In-Chief in 1999, each issue was loaded to the gills with worked shoot commentaries from a host of company and industry insiders, some fascinating interviews that went way beyond the usual realm for an in-house production, and an inch-perfect level of titillation for the young male demographic laser focused on the product at the time.

As was readily apparent in the way she was presented on television, Russo adored Sable. Her segments did incredible ratings on Monday Night Raw, and she supplanted Sunny as the perennial female cover star of his pet project publication that was often the tastemaker for discerning viewers.

Knee deep in the company's meteoric return to the industry summit in June 1998, the image of Sable physically dominating Luna portrayed the all-encompassing 'athletic ten' persona they aiming to portray. A convergence of everything Russo was trying to achieve, the uncensored (and annoyingly derivative) curse word positioned both the magazine and product at large as edgy and counter-culture.
