10 Most Insane Wrestling Spots Of 2020
1. Stadium-Worthy One-Winged Angel - AEW Double Or Nothing (23 May)
How can any pro wrestling spot in 2020 come close to being better than this?
The Stadium Stampede Match between The Inner Circle, and The Elite with Matt Hardy to fill out the numbers was the right main event for the second annual Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Given the entirety of the Jacksonville Jaguars' TIAA Bank Field to run wild with, all ten men involved did what they could to give the fans at home something to take their mind off the world falling to pieces.
For his second appearance on this list, Sammy Guevara took a hellish bump courtesy of Kenny Omega at the conclusion of the bout. A One-Winged Angel looks like a delightful finisher in its own right, but when you take into consideration 'The Spanish God' was taking a bump from out of the stands to the mats below, it was a fittingly hilarious culmination to an entertaining spectacle.
From his golf cart incident to this One-Winged Angel, May 2020 wasn't the greatest month of Sammy Guevara's prosperous career.
It's insane to look back at this match, and see how far each man involved has come. Unfortunately for Guevara, he's probably done so with fewer years before his retirement date. Just because he landed on mats takes nothing away from the height of the drop.
