Nothing gets a wrestling fan going like an unexpected surprise, or a shocking twist. Well, No Way Out 2009 provided a fair few. And Edge was right at the centre of them. He started the night as WWE Champion, defending his title in SmackDown's Elimination Chamber event early in the night. He opened the match across from Jeff Hardy, and the two would throw up another classic - albeit short - battle. A simple roll-up got the job done for Jeff, less than five minutes into the match. The Rated-R Superstar had lost the belt he walked in with and there was nothing he could do about it. Or, so we thought. Kofi Kingston made his way to the ring to take part in Raw's chamber match later on in the night, and despite the brand divide, Edge came down to attack Kofi and take his place in the match. Once in, he'd eliminate World Heavyweight Champion John Cena while there were four guys left in the match. That never happens to Cena does it?! Edge went on to outlast Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio to end the night as champion - albeit a different champion.
