10 Most Inspirational Joe Rogan Experience Episodes
6. Jordan Peterson #1139
Emerging out of relative obscurity to becoming one of the most visible academics in the western world, psychology professor Jordan Peterson has become a frequent guest on the JRE in recent years.
Peterson's political and religious viewpoints have made him a divisive figure online, though its hard to disagree that his concepts of self-improvement can be helpful if implemented correctly.
While promoting his 2018 book 12 Rules for Life, Peterson appeared on the JRE with a focus primarily on the message espoused by the aforementioned title, the ways people can change their day-to-day habits in order to better themselves.
The issue with Peterson is that sometimes it's difficult to separate his significantly useful motivational self-help advice from his political spiel. For those ideologically aligned with the Canadian psychologist, this is less of an issue, but regardless, Peterson's concepts of taking personal responsibility for one's actions where possible is a good message and has undoubtedly improved the lives of many of his followers.
However, this episode, in particular, captures what makes Peterson's philosophy so helpful for certain people, and if the comment section is anything to go by the advice has been effective for many of those who have implemented it.
