10 Most Insubordinate WWE Stars

1. CM Punk

There was only going to be one man at the top of this list. CM Punk has potentially done more damage to the WWE than any man in recent history - certainly single-handedly. His now-infamous appearance on Colt Cabana's 'The Art of Wrestling' podcast lifted the lid on the promotion in a way Vince McMahon probably expected, given Punk's history of unapologetically speaking his mind (as well as the fact that he was fired on his wedding day, which probably didn't put him in the best mood). However, the WWE high-ups probably underestimated the sheer influence his former employee's complaints would have, the podcast leading to a huge fan backlash and the re-emergence of disruptive "CM Punk" chants at televised events. Never has a WWE employee more perfectly embodied the phrase "bringing the company into disrepute", opening the door for blistering criticisms of their hectic schedule, backstage favouritism, and even raising questions about the standards of their medical staff. Whether you believe Punk's behaviour completely unreasonable or entirely justified, it has certainly cemented his status as the most insubordinate employee in company history.
