Sometimes, a flukey win can give a wrestler one night of joy. Sometimes, it can lead to a championship reign. However, very few performers have ever launched an entire career off the back of one upset victory.

Enter Sean Waltman.

Waltman made a couple of appearances on Raw in 1993 under various different names. The Kamikaze Kid, The Cannonball Kid: neither of these names resulted in any victories. So, when he faced established upper-midcarder Razor Ramon, he just went by The Kid.

In a bout that only lasted about two-and-a-half minutes, Kid hit Ramon with a moonsault to shockingly pin the much larger man. Fans went insane upon seeing this loveable underdog take down the giant, and Kid was a made man.

The moment is still regarded as one of the best to ever happen on Raw, even after all these years. It remains one of the best examples of how to book a shock defeat, as Ramon wasn't harmed by losing, but Kid's career took off like a rocket.

He would soon be renamed The 1-2-3 Kid, then join WCW as Syxx, before returning to the WWE as X-Pac.

Perhaps you've heard of him.
