3. Ethan Carter III

Michael Hutter's time in WWE as Derek Bateman was entirely inconsequential. Though he was certainly entertaining on the mic, the character never went anywhere, and eventually he slipped into obscurity before being let go by the company.

Like many wrestlers whose talent WWE had no idea how to utilise, Hutter has able to harness his particular skill-set to great effect outside the company. Under the guise of Ethan Carter III, Hutter has taken his promo skills to a whole new level, allowing them to turn him into a star in lieu of any exceptional in-ring ability.

There's a huge hunger for a man with bona-fide charisma on WWE's generally stale TV, and if Carter is allowed to go his own way on the mic, fans would pretty quickly be on board with the new addition.

However, unlike many on this list, he would have to drop his TNA moniker; being billed as the nephew of Dixie Carter probably wouldn't go down too well.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
