10 Most Memorable WWE Jobbers

6. Gillberg

Gillberg As noted two entries above, Duane Gill discovered newfound fame as a member of the J.O.B. Squad when he pinned Christian for the Light Heavyweight Championship on Raw. This resulted in a transformation into a new gimmick: Gillberg. A clear and blatant parody of WCW Superstar Goldberg, Gillberg essentially looked like what would happen if the WCW Champion had shrunk in the wash. He came out to music, pyro, and recorded voice chants, all designed to mock Goldberg, while even using the Spear and Jackhammer in matches, though to much lesser effect. Despite this, he wound up holding the Light Heavyweight Championship title for a record 15 months- a feat which would be all the more impressive had his title defenses been the least bit frequent. He dropped the title to Essa Rios in 2000 on his way out of the company, but has made occasional reappearances, including a meeting with the real Goldberg during the latter's feud with The Rock upon entering the company.
