10 Most Memorable WWE Moments Of 2015 (So Far)

2. Kevin Owens Beats John Cena Clean At Elimination Chamber

There have been a lot of great matches in WWE this year and there's one match that not only delivered in terms of quality, but also as a special moment as well. Kevin Owens beating John Cena at Elimination Chamber was huge because it legitimized Owens as a top guy in WWE in his first match on the main roster. When you also consider that it was one of the best matches of the year, it makes it seem that much more special. If Owens had his first match against anybody else in the company it wouldn't seem like as big of a deal as it did against Cena. The only other regular that could be comparable is Brock Lesnar, but do you really think WWE would want to have somebody beat Lesnar the way Owens beat Cena? That seems unlikely. Plus, Cena's the consummate babyface in WWE while Owens is a pure heel, so this pairing worked very well. It was such a big deal because Cena barely loses any matches, much less in clean fashion. There are only a handful of guys that can say they beat Cena clean and adding Owens to that list in his first match is exactly how you should build up a "rookie" in WWE. Their second match was awesome too and they may have others that are even better, but nothing in their feud can top the moment of Owens getting that clean win the first time they had a match.
