Awesome Truth was an interesting, though short-lived, tag team made up of The Miz and R-Truth that was both formed and disbanded in 2011. Originally brought together by their belief that they were both being underutilized by COO Triple H, Miz and Truth formed their tag team and started interfering in WWE matches, including Triple H vs. CM Punk at Night of Champions. The following night on Raw, the duo apologized to the Game only to be promptly fired by Trip later in the night. The two returned at Hell in a Cell, laying waste to Punk, Alberto Del Rio, John Cena, the referee, and a few cameramen before giving themselves up to the police.
