Story: In 2002, Warner Brothers studios reportedly secured the rights to shoot a live-action film adaptation of the popular Cartoon Network show, Johnny Bravo. A notorious ladies man, Bravo was as masculine and macho as they come, with each cartoon featuring his ludicrous banter and attempts to woo a collection of females. In the starring role, Warner Brothers wanted The Rock, feeling his muscular frame and bags of personality would perfectly lend themselves nicely to the character. Dwayne Johnson's was advised by his agent and management to turn down the part, but he was interested. The movie would never be made however, being cancelled shortly thereafter. Why People Believe It: Dwayne Johnson has never been afraid of putting himself in the line of criticism, just look at his role in the 2010 bomb, Tooth Fairy for evidence of that. With all that in mind, and given the fact that his brash, unrelenting persona as The Rock is in tune with what Johnny Bravo is all about, there's no reason to doubt he would have been earmarked. Should We Believe It: It's safe to assume that The Rock was one of the men considered for the part, but the real doubt comes into just how up for playing the role he was himself. In 2002, Dwayne Johnson wasn't quite the Hollywood heavy hitter that he is today, so this one seems likely.
