Story: Any time a male and female interact on wrestling television, there will be fans who believe that they must be seeing one another away from the cameras in real life. Throughout 2000-2001, there were a few segments filmed showing The Rock and Trish Stratus interacting somewhat awkwardly behind the curtain, almost hinting that they both had a crush on one another. There can be little doubt that the tone of the segments was romance, it was as blatant as the day is long. As if things weren't obvious enough that the writers wanted people to believe The Rock and Stratus were romantically linked, they shared a kiss on-screen, confirming this kayfabe relationship, but was all as it seemed? Why People Believe It: The Rock is a handsome man, and Trish Stratus is a beautiful woman. Both people were clearly bright personalities, and probably did interact with one another whenever they were working together on events. Therefore, there's little reason to doubt that there was an attraction there, but Johnson was married at the time to his teenage sweetheart. Should We Believe It: In all honesty, yes, there's every chance that there was something there between The Rock and Stratus before the on-screen kiss. If there wasn't, then it's possible that there might have been after the fact. Nobody will ever really know without either person coming out and admitting it, but there was sexual tension there.
