1. WWF Vs. The Alliance

When it comes to the Monday Night Wars, WWF was obviously the superior wrestling promotion. Putting personal taste aside, they were the only company that still existed by the end of it. What more evidence do you need?

At the same time, it's perhaps also true that the gap between Vince McMahon's show and the one down in Atlanta wasn't quite as big as the subsequent Invasion angle would go on to suggest.

It wasn't just that Team WWF won the climactic match at Survivor Series. The build-up was incredibly one-sided too, beginning with Booker T's SummerSlam burial at the hands of The Rock, who went into the final bout carrying WCW's biggest prize.

As if that weren't humiliating enough, 60% of The Alliance's nominated five-piece were drawn from the ranks of the host company, with only Booker T and Rob Van Dam representing the two "invading" factions. That's not an invasion, it's a holiday.
