WWE saw in Jack Swagger a potential Brock Lesnar-like (or should that read -lite?) star, where many of us merely saw a run-of-the-mill mid-carder whose mic skills needed a little work.

Whatever his shortcomings though, the main problem was that WWE never gave him the time to work on them, instead shoehorning him into a bloated main event scene almost the very moment he won the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 26.

The abrupt nature of his push killed his chances of becoming a legitimate WWE star (which, perhaps, he could have been with some work), since it's often difficult to take a wrestler seriously when they pop up in the middle of the show, having failed so spectacularly to hold their own in the main event.
