I'm not going to try to defend this match as a whole. There's simply too much to dislike about it. Aside from that godawful, faux-Attitude Era finish that found Vince McMahon nose-deep in Big Show's backside, this match tended to be little more than a series of moderately interesting bumps.

But Vince is extremely limited in the ring and Shane isn't exactly Curt Hennig when it comes to match pacing, so this is exactly the kind of match we should've expected.

Still, there was one major high spot that made the whole thing worth it. It's always a treat to watch Shane-O-Mac launch himself across the ring from one turnbuckle to the next, and he hit the Coast to Coast beautifully on Triple H that night. No, this wasn't the first or last time he'd execute his variation on Rob Van Dam's Van Terminator, but it was one of his most precise.

Also, this gets huge bonus points for Big Show laughing and shouting "OOOHH" in Triple H's ear after the trash can had ripped him open a little. He's such a goofy oaf.
