10 Most Perfectly Timed Wrestling Spots Ever

5. Joey Janela Eats SH*T

The V-Trigger is the most impressive application of physical timing ever.

Back when NJPW weren't fussed about Twitter users sharing GIFs and MP4s, the move was an online sensation, the viral mark-outs towards which helped Kenny Omega gain traction amongst curious western fans. In short, it looked as impossible as it was deadly. Omega, a ridiculously explosive performer, rampaged across the ring, jumped up, and absolutely smashed his opponents flush in the nose or the temple with his knee. The resulting noise was despicable in its thwack. It didn't sound like a thigh slap; more a gruesome, concussive thud.

Or so it seemed; were Omega to have actually done this, he'd have blackened the eyes of every opponent. He didn't, and that is because his timing was so incredibly precise.

Every Omega fan likely has their own favourite V-Trigger. Subjectively, his best wasn't executed in one of his vast library of classics. His match against Joey Janela on the October 23, 2019 Dynamite was merely very good by his standards, but that V-Trigger, holy sh*t.

Janela's sell was unreal, Omega's sprint blistering. It was such a GIF-friendly fatality of a spot, but there was no fatality.

Because his timing is out of this world.
