10 Most Pointless WWE Tag Team Breakups Ever

6. Too Cool

Another breakup that was rendered meaningless by the aftermath, Too Cool splitting was just plain sad. The trio of Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty and of course the late Grandmaster Sexay (RIP), were phenomenally popular with fans. Their famous dance moves and more than decent ability between the ropes captivated audiences throughout their run. Which makes it rather perplexing as to why WWE/WWF chose to split them up.

Of course, the main reason was probably Rikishi’s impending heel turn, you know how he would run over but not really Stone Cold Steve Austin for The Ro-- Triple H. But given how well that went, it stands to reason that everyone would have been better off had they remained together.

This was also the time when the tag division actually mattered. Having Too Cool in the mix along with the madness created by the likes of the Hardyz, Edge and Christian and Dudleyz could have added a whole new dimension and made for some thrilling long term rivalries. Sadly, it was not to be.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
