Sinister, sinister Randy Orton was one of WWE's best characters back in 2009. Much like with several Triple H matches at WrestleMania however (Sting, Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho etc), the actual match couldn't live up to the hype. In fairness, that was a tall order at 'Mania XXV.

This skit is proof positive that it would've had to be ultra-violent, bloody and gritty to capture the hatred.

Orton handcuffing Trips to the top rope and malevolently kissing a prone Stephanie has been viewed 93,104,283 times by fans. That's not a huge surprise when seeing how well all three parties played their respective roles. Randy was running riot as a movie-style psychopath, Triple H was the furious lover and Steph was caught in the middle of it all.

This is, without doubt, one of the best-worked segments of its type in WWE history. It deserves to be up there with the greats, instead of mired in disappointment due to the lame disqualification stipulation that was tacked on come WrestleMania.
